چکیده

امروزه محدودیت منابع قرضه با دانه‌بندی مناسب در فعالیت‌های رایج مهندسی، باعث رواج هر چه بیشتر استفاده از دانه‌های شنی با اندازه‌های درشت و تا مرز قلوه سنگ در خاکریزها شده است. به‌کارگیری چنین ذرات درشت‌دانه‌ای در شیب‌ها و خاکریزها مستلزم در نظر گرفتن تأثیرات آنها در مخلوط با خاک‌های ریزتر است. برای مثال تعیین متغیرهای مقاومتی و تغییر شکل چنین مخلوط‌هایی برای تعیین پایداری شیروانی‌ها، شیب پوسته سدهای خاکی و زمین‌لغزه‌ها ضروری است. از سوی دیگر در بسیاری از موارد، خاک ساختگاهی که با آن سر و کار داریم به صورت ترکیبی از شن‌دانه‌ها در خمیره‌ای از ذرات ماسه‌ای است. محدودیت ابعاد دستگاه‌های آزمایشگاهی متعارف مانع از انجام آزمایش بر روی نمونه‌های با ابعاد درشت می‌شود. بنابراین در این پژوهش تلاش شده است با استفاده از دستگاه برش مستقیم بزرگ مقیاس تأثیر شکل و اندازه شن‌دانه بر رفتار مکانیکی مخلوط‌های ماسه‌ای مشخص شود. در این پژوهش انجام تعدادی آزمایش برش مستقیم بزرگ مقیاس با جعبه برش 300 در 300 میلی‌متری بر مخلوط خاک ماسه‌ای و شن‌دانه‌های گردگوشه یا تیزگوشه با بیشترین قطر دانه‌های 5/12 و 4/25 میلی‌متر ترتیب داده شد. آزمایش‌ها بر روی نمونه‌های خشک در تراکم‌های نسبی 35، 60 و 85% و سربارهای 5/1، 3 و 5/4 کیلوگرم بر سانتی‌متر مربع و در درصدهای شن‌دانه صفر، 20، 40 و 60 درصد انجام شد. نتایج آزمایش‌ها نشان داد که شن‌های تیزگوشه نسبت به شن‌های گردگوشه به میزان بیشتری مقاومت برشی نهایی، مقاومت پسماند، زاویه اصطکاک و اتساع و شاخص تردی مخلوط‌های شن و ماسه را افزایش می‌دهند. به همین ترتیب، شن‌های با بیشترین قطر دانه 4/25 میلی‌متر نیز نسبت به شن‌های با بیشترین قطر دانه 5/12 میلی‌متر به میزان بیشتری بر روی متغیر‌های اشاره شده در بالا تأثیر می‌گذارند. همچنین تأثیر شکل و اندازه شن بر رفتار خاک‌های مخلوط در درصدهای شن‌دانه بیشتر، سربار زیادتر و تراکم نسبی بالاتر، آشکارتر است.
